CBD Provisions is an AMAZING addition to downtown Dallas. The food was absolutely incredible, the atmosphere was so warm and comfortable while still being upscale and classy, and did I mention the food was delicious!?

The meal started with a little goal pie (stout braised cabrito) which just put the biggest smile on my face. It’s the perfect size for an appetizer for one or two people to prep your stomach for the glorious food its about to encounter. The butcher steak with chimichurri melted in my mouth with each bite, and exploded with flavor beyond my wildest dreams. It was cooked to perfection.

I also tried the Red Chili made from grass fed beef toped with a farm fried egg accompanied by corn bread. The first bite of that chili warmed my soul yet tested my palate. The fried egg on top really added another detention to the dish and the corn bread was crunchy on top and warm in the middle.

Please do yourself a favor and order the pan roasted okra (with garlic-chili oil) and kabocha squash (sorghum, blue cheese, pecans) as your sides. I’ve craved the squash everyday since I’ve tasted it.

Dessert is a MUST. You will thank me later. There is a peanut butter, chocolate, banana parfait served in a mason jar that will make you cry and a cobbler made fresh in a cast iron pan topped with crunchy crumbles that will guarantee you will return.
