Have you ever taken a bite of something that made your heart smile? The thought alone of eating a doughnut usually does that to me, but oh man, biting into the doughnut pictured below was complete and utter bliss.

The Doughnut Plant in New York City peaked my interest when I saw that they had the world first Creme Brûlée Doughnut. Creme Brûlée is my favorite dessert, so I was intrigued by how all the distinct textures and elements would taste in doughnut form.

I was BLOWN AWAY! This euphoric breakfast delicacy was filled with the most delicious custard, and when I say filled, I mean oozing out with every glorious bite. The torched sugar top had the perfect crunch and tasted just like the Creme Brûlée in its original form. I was pleasantly surprised by the resemblance to my favorite treat and was utterly satisfied after I finished.

The Doughnut Plant has so many great options, covering all types of flavor pallets. I recommend ordering at least two doughnuts while there, one of which being the Creme Brûlée (obviously). Do what you have to do to try The Doughnut Plant in your lifetime.
