I read menus for fun, watch the food network for research and talk about food to anyone who will listen to feed my soul. It’s no surprise that taking the first bite of my burger at the Butcher & the Burger in Chicago was a moment of pure bliss. For some, the burger experience at this fine establishment may be overwhelming. However after studying the menu online, being accompanied by a good friend & burger connoisseur and help from the cutest older man behind the counter, I ordered a masterpiece.

Patty: Natural & Local House Blend Beef, Spices: Grandma’s Onion Soup, Bun: Split Top Butter Egg, Cheese: Pepper Jack, Toppings: Lettuce, Caramelized Onions, (and the game changer) Black Truffle Aioli.
The burger was cooked perfectly, the bun was fresh, and the black truffle aioli is something that should by bought by the bucket and put on everything. Also, I want to give a shout out to the fries – they complimented this burger like, well… fries to a burger. Go, now, drop what you are doing – you will thank me.
Go on and seize the meal.
