If you are in Philadelphia you have to get a Philly Cheesesteak…and if you are going to get a Philly Cheesesteak you have to get it from Steve’s Prince of Steaks. Steve’s was my fist run in with classic sandwich, and man, the bar has been set high.

Pictured above is Cheesesteak with provolone cheese, grilled onion and banana peppers. The bread was unbelievably fresh, and the ratio of meat, cheese and onions allowed you to taste all the flavors. I would also recommend ordering a side of fries (to share, it’s a HUGE portion).

The atmosphere of this particular location is nothing fancy, which in my opinion, makes the food taste even better. Eating this cheesesteak and fries, in the outdoor seating area, made me feel like a local and as odd as it sounds, brought me back in time. Philadelphia is such a great, historic city, and it was a pleasure to eat such great food in this fantastic city.
