The glorious experience of dining includes many stages, however, it’s the ordering process that causes me the most excitement and anxiety. Some menu’s have that one dish that jumps out at you, while other menus cause you to have to flip a coin. At Alewife’s, there was one dish that I couldn’t look away from…The Chicken and Waffle Sliders.

These sliders consisted of fried chicken, candied maple bacon, apple jam and goat cheese, garnished with a side of glazed strawberries. The flavors worked very well together, without having an overwhelming maple or apple flavor, and the waffles were toasted, yet soft. The plate looked as though I had licked it clean when the meal was over…not one crumb was left behind.

Alewife’s has a fantastic atmosphere with an outstanding beer and cocktail list. Located in the heart of downtown Baltimore, this would be a great place for a happy hour get together after work, date night or just grabbing dinner with some friends. I highly recommend this restaurant!
