As I review the menu before arrival as I usually do, I was very much looking forward to this meal. I always get excited when I see Blackened Mahi Mahi with mango and jalapeño salsa. It was a perfect Ohio night, and the atmosphere of Mancy’s BlueWater Grill was great inside and out. (Although I’d recommend sitting outside it you have the opportunity.)

I was slightly disappointed when I noticed the Mahi Mahi was no longer on the menu, but pleasantly surprised when I noticed a thing of glory…Maple Bourbon Salmon. Butternut Squash Ravioli, toasted pecans and maple bourbon cream sauce. Holy. Moly. Each bite was like a gift from Heaven. I love salmon, but this dish took my tastebuds to a whole other level. The waiter mentioned it was one of the most popular dishes on the menu and I can see why. The butternut squash ravioli’s were like little delicious pillows of overwhelming flavor and bliss, and the crunch of the toasted pecans created such a symphony flavor it would be an utter shame to go a whole life time without consuming. 

I would also suggest the crab cakes. They were perfectly seasoned and cooked just right, and served with a delicious side of homemade Aioli. And as a side note, skip the dinner salad and get a side of coleslaw instead, it was very tasty! 

I would highly, highly recommend stopping at Mancy’s BlueWater Grill in Maumee Ohio. The staff was great, the server was knowledgeable, and the food, I can’t say enough about the food. Order the Maple bourbon Salmon as soon as you can get yourself to Ohio.

Go on and seize the meal.
