As a food critic, I don’t really pride myself on eating at chain restaurants, however, when they are as delicious as Biaggi’s one can make an exception. Let’s just start with the bread…WOW. After my fourth piece I had to mentally restraining from finishing the basket. It was a great way to start the meal. (And went great with the glass(es) of Malbec.) I ordered the Market Special. It was unbelievable. Usually a picture is worth a thousand words, but in this case its worth a million…I mean, take a good look at this dish.
The fish was in a reduced white wine sauce, with pesto and capers, accompanied by whipped garlic mashed potatoes and green beans. Every bite was a delight and started to make my mouth dance with movement and pleasure. My plate was completely clean within 8 minutes. That’s a great sign of a good meal.
Dessert. I had the honor to try a few different items on the extensive dessert menu. Crème Brule – good, but I’ve had better, wasn’t very hot. Nutella Skillet Cookie – Very, very good. Piping hot, delicious, and will be ordered again. Torta Cioccolata (Rich Chocolate Frosting, Vanilla Bean Ice Cream) – Very Rich, very good if you are a chocolate lover, and perfect with the scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Go on and seize the meal.
