Phrases like, “Limited time only”, “Newly added!” and especially, “Chef’s Favorite” give me butterflies and excitement beyond your wildest dreams. So it was a no brainer when I went to Christies Sports Bar on McKinney to watch the Chicago Blackhawks win, that I would order the Special Quesadillas (Chef’s Favorite). The picture doesn’t do this meal justice. It was unbelievable.

A tortilla filled with spinach, brisket, diced tomato and jalapeños served with salsa and sour cream (and guacamole for a small charge), MmmMmmm. I looked up the menu as I usually do before going to a new place, and when I saw “Chef’s Favorite” and read the description my mind was made up. I told the whole group I was going with about this discovery and how excited I was to try it and as usual, they all just kind of smiled and said, “I’m glad you’re so happy about this” (they all just don’t understand the joy it gives me to discover new foods).
The explosion of flavor that was experienced while eating this has not yet warn off and the smile I get while I think about this Special Quesadilla continues to grow. It was the perfect amount of cheese to not overpower the slow cooked (to perfection I might add) brisket and the heat of fresh jalapeños gave it a real kick. I highly encourage you to cheer on your favorite team at Christies Sports Bar and order the dish that will make you happy for days to come.
Go on and seize the meal.
